Terminal 2 of Kinabalu International Airport

Terminal 2 of Kota Kinabalu International Airport is a secondary terminal that serves low-cost airlines and charter flights. It was opened in 2008 to cater to the increasing demand for air travel in Sabah. The terminal is located about 2 kilometers away from the main terminal building and is accessible by a shuttle bus service. Terminal 2 has a total floor area of approximately 20,000 square meters and can handle up to 2.5 million passengers annually. It has five aircraft parking bays, including two with aerobridges, and can accommodate aircraft up to the size of the Boeing 747. The terminal is equipped with basic facilities such as check-in counters, immigration and customs counters, baggage reclaim belts, and retail and food outlets.
